Some Peace Quotes for You

Happy Wellness Wednesday! How peaceful are you feeling these days? I thought maybe we could all use some reminders about remaining peaceful in trying circumstances, so I’m sharing these quotes with you.

Beach with the word PEACE written in the sand with text overlay: "First keep the peace within yourself, then you can also bring peace to others." Thomas a Kempis
Woman standing in field releasing doves with text overlay: "To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love. In return, you will receive untold peace and happiness." Robert Muller
Medieval battle with text overlay: "Be selective with your battles. Sometimes peace is better than being right." Unknown
Couple on park bench that seem to have had a fight with text overlay: "Don't let the silly little dramas of everyday life get you down. For you are here to do great things." Ralph Marston
Teal background with text overlay: "Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart." Unknown
Rainbow after a storm with text overlay: "You can't calm the storm so stop trying. What you can do is calm yourself. The storm will pass." Zig Ziglar

Being able to remain peaceful is so vital to our overall wellness. We all know how much chronic stress can affect us, so finding ways to increase our inner peace and exist peacefully with those around us is vital to our wellbeing.

Do any of these quotes resonate with you? Do you have a favorite quote about peace/peacefulness? Please share!

Blessings,

~Terri

  1. Sorry Terri, I can’t pick a favourite because each one is even better than the last! Lovely post & helpful reminders! Little touch of Spring here today….that in itself brings a welcome sense of peace!

    1. Thank you so much Marie! I’m glad you enjoyed them. I’m so glad to hear you’re experiencing a little Spring there. I know you’ve had a cold Winter. We’re having a little Spring ourselves, though it’s supposed to be cold tomorrow. That’s March for you…. Blessings to you sweet friend!

  2. I really hate to say it, but I loved all the quotes and can’t seem to pick my favorite. I really loved the 3rd and 4th one, but the others ones are really powerful as well!

    1. Thanks so much Alyssa! I’m glad these resonated with you. It’s hard to feel peaceful when our world can be chaotic at times, but learning to have that peace within ourselves is so important to our wellbeing. Sending hugs your way!

  3. It’s not said as eloquently, but when I am counting to ten in my head (to keep from losing it) I remind myself that being happy is so much more important than being right.

    1. Thanks so much for sharing Grace! That’s a great reminder to keep yourself from saying something you might regret. Back when I used to watch the Dr. Phil show (before it became another Jerry Springer) he used to say, “Do you want to be right or do you want to be married?”. Hope you’re doing well sweet friend. Blessings to you!

  4. My favorite peace quote is the words of Jesus in The Gospel of John Chapter 14, verse 27: “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

  5. “Be selective with your battles”, that’s fantastic. Love these quotes, Terri. I’m a sucker for quotes so I’m always happy when there’s something new to discover! xx

    1. Thanks so much Mark! I’m glad you liked them. That “choosing your battles” one seems to be a popular one. Probably because so many of us have found it to be true….. Blessings to you, my friend!

  6. Terri, I absolutely love these peace quotes. You’ve picked the perfect ones to remind us all of how critical it is to keep our peace. I don’t know about you, but any time I’ve lost my peace, I’ve lost much more than that. Peace keeps us in a place where we can heal, hear and understand.

My favorite of these would have to be: “Be selective with your battles. Sometimes peace is better than being right.” Amen! This was a hard earned lesson in life for me. Not everything is worth responding to. Prayer is better. 🙂

All my love to you sweet Terri. You are such a blessing. Thank you for sharing this post & your heart! I’ve pinned and tweeted so others can come and enjoy.

    1. Thank you so much Holly! I’m so glad you liked these. You make such an outstanding point about losing MORE than peace when we lose ours. Like you, learning to choose my battles has been a hard, but necessary lesson that has helped me immensely. As you said, “prayer is better.” Thank you so much for your kind words sweet friend, and for sharing on SM. Sending love and hugs your way!
