Happy Wednesday everyone! How are you getting on with your wellness endeavors? With the changes to our daily lives right now, some of us may be experiencing some ‘bumps’ in our wellness wheels. It’s hard to make our wellness a priority when we’ve got so much going on around us, but this is the time when it’s more important than ever.
But wait – I’m homeschooling, trying to keep our family well and fed, keep up with the laundry….. I don’t have time to worry about wellness. Is that how you’re feeling right now?
If it is, please know you’re not alone. I’m sure a lot of us are in the same boat.
But what if we could make it easy to do something for our wellness every day? In my post Just Do One Thing I talked about my ‘One Thing’ philosophy – asking What ONE THING can I do today that will move me closer to my goals?
I thought adopting this philosophy might help us make our wellness a priority without having to spend a lot of time on it. To that end, I’d like to invite you to join me in the ‘One Thing for Wellness’ challenge.
Join the ‘One Thing for Wellness’ Challenge!
Each day on my Facebook page I’ll be posting a prompt that encourages you to do ‘One Thing’ for wellness; to make your wellness a priority for just a few minutes each day. Each prompt will address one of the eight dimensions of wellness we’ve talked about, and will be something simple. In addition, most of them will take very little time.
I wanted to do this on Facebook so we can not only do the challenge, we can be accountability partners for one another. I’ll also post some extra information to help with the prompts each day. If you’d like to join in on Facebook, please visit and follow the Reclaiming HOPE page at https://facebook.com/hopereclaiming.
If you’re not on Facebook, or you just prefer doing it on your own, you can download the challenge calendar here:
Remember, if you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take care of those you love. It’s never selfish to make your wellness a priority.
So why not join me for the May ‘One Thing for Wellness’ Challenge? We start Friday, May 1st. I look forward to doing this challenge with you!
