More Short and Simple Wellness Tips For You

Hello Friends, it’s been awhile…. I’ve been on a bit of an unplanned break for the last few weeks. Though I haven’t been busy blogging, I have been busy doing other things.

Since my last post, I’ve gotten my second Covid vaccine, finished my Weight Loss Specialist Certification, and planted lettuce and spinach, among other things. We’ve also made several trips to our local garden centers. I just can’t seem to stay out of them this time of year!

Since I still haven’t gotten back into the “blogging groove” yet, I thought I’d share a few more wellness tips and quotes that I’ve been sharing on my Facebook page.I hope you find something that speaks to you.

So often, we think of exercise as work and something we just have to “get through.” When we change how we think about it, it can help us start to enjoy the process and appreciate what our bodies can do.

When we’re working to improve our health, we can get discouraged if we’re not making progress as quickly as we’d like. We have to learn to be patient with ourselves and focus on the process in order to make the changes that will last us a lifetime.

I just love this! When we adopt healthy behaviors, we’re investing in the best “bank account” of all – our wellness.

Comparison is a progress-killer! One thing that will demotivate us quicker than anything else is comparing ourselves to others. The only comparison we should be making is the comparison between where we started and where we are now.

It’s only been in recent years that scientists have discovered just how important our gut health is. Taking care of our microbiome can make a huge difference in our overall health.

The general recommendation these days is that we can eat an egg a day, which is great news for those of us who love eggs. Of course, you should always follow your doctor’s recommendations. Some cardiologists may recommend fewer.

Whenever you feel guilty for making your own health a priority, just remember the gift you’re giving your family.

This is so true! We’re going to fail at many things in life – that’s just a part of living and learning. The important thing is that we get back up and try again.
